Like any ordinary person, I was confused with the concept of half saree function at first. Later, I did my part of research and got the purpose of this event. It’s a special ceremonial event organized by the family when their daughter wears a saree for the first time marking the inception of womanhood.  

This one-day half saree party was celebrated at the grand Cincinnati Marriott North, Ohio. We had fun shooting time with the cute Chirumamilla who wore a turquoise-orange color half saree for the main event. Also, her brother was seen wearing the traditional dhoti following up the tradition. I would like to thank the girl’s family and friends for the cooperation and also for making me understand a few rituals for the shoot.
